Who We Are
Where Three Counties Speak With One Voice.
The Detroit Regional Defense Coalition (DRDC) is an official partnership between Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties and the City of Detroit. We were created to capture economic opportunities in the defense industry that exist and continue to grow in Southeast Michigan. We are not duplicating the work of state and local partners. We are amplifying it. Our work will complement the efforts of ODAI, MEDC, the Arsenal Alliance, NDIA, WID, AUSA, AFA, and others to ensure the Detroit Region punches above its weight in national defense.

Our Mission
To attract additional defense industry investment, coordinate regional responses to defense-related opportunities, assist businesses in competing for defense contracts, grow the defense-related workforce, and along with our regional partners, conduct the economic and policy analyses that position this region for long-term national security relevance.
